Meet Tayler Ross, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner providing primary care with a whole-body, integrative approach — supporting women, children, and families with compassion while connecting the dots in health and wellness.
My Story
I’m Tayler Ross, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who believes healthcare should do more than manage symptoms — it should help people truly heal.
During my clinical training, I began to recognize the limitations of a system that often prioritizes speed over understanding. I saw patients leave appointments with prescriptions but without clarity, support, or answers. That disconnect didn’t sit right with me. I became a nurse because I wanted to help people experience genuine health — not simply cope with ongoing symptoms.
Early in my career, I worked in an alternative and integrative medical setting, where I was introduced to functional and holistic approaches to care. Around the same time, I was navigating my own health challenges, including chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, hormone imbalance, weight struggles, and worsening ADHD symptoms. Those experiences deepened my understanding of how intricately the body is designed — and how healing is possible when root causes are addressed, and the body is supported appropriately.
Through both professional training and personal experience, I came to believe that chronic symptoms are not something we are meant to simply accept as “normal.”
Why I Started Olea Functional Health
Over time, I saw many individuals and families fall through the gaps of traditional care. Labs were often labeled “normal,” yet patients still didn’t feel well. Concerns were minimized, care was fragmented, and few providers had the time to look at the full picture — physical health, lifestyle, environment, mental health, and spiritual well-being.
Patients were looking for something different. They wanted to be heard. They wanted thoughtful care. They wanted options beyond quick fixes, without abandoning evidence-based medicine.
Olea Functional Health was created to provide primary care with the time, flexibility, and freedom to do just that.
Here, I partner with patients to:
Identify root causes
Support the body naturally whenever appropriate
Use medication thoughtfully and intentionally when clinically indicated
Create personalized, sustainable plans aligned with individual values
Faith-integrated care is available when desired and always offered with respect.
The Meaning Behind Olea
Olea means “olive” — a biblical symbol of healing, anointing, peace, and God’s faithfulness.
The olive tree also represents resilience and renewal, reflecting the heart of this practice. At Olea Functional Health, care is rooted in compassion, restoration, and respect for how God designed the body to function — with space for faith to be incorporated when meaningful to the patient.
My Approach to Care
I believe in whole-person care, supporting the body, mind, and spirit together.
My approach blends:
Evidence-based primary care
Functional and integrative medicine
Natural and lifestyle-based strategies
Personalized, realistic care planning
I prioritize listening closely, uncovering root causes, and creating plans that feel achievable in real life. Medication is used when appropriate, not reflexively, and always as part of a broader, thoughtful approach.

My Heart for This Work
