Financial Policies

At Olea Functional Health, we believe healthcare pricing should be simple, transparent, and easy to understand. Our practice operates on a direct-pay model, allowing us to spend more time with patients and provide personalized, relationship-centered care without many of the restrictions associated with insurance-based medicine.

Direct-Pay Practice

Olea Functional Health does not bill health insurance for services.

Payment is due at the time of your appointment unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Superbills

If requested, we are happy to provide a superbill that you may submit to your health insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Please note:

  • Reimbursement is not guaranteed.

  • Coverage varies by insurance plan.

  • Patients are responsible for understanding their individual out-of-network benefits.

Accepted Forms of Payment

We accept:

  • Major credit and debit cards

  • HSA and FSA cards for eligible services

  • Cash

Memberships

Membership plans are billed monthly and include the services outlined in your Membership Agreement.

Membership benefits are non-transferable and apply only while your membership remains active.

Laboratory Testing

Laboratory testing and specialty functional testing may involve additional costs beyond your appointment fee.

Whenever possible, we discuss testing options, pricing, and expected costs before ordering.

Supplements

Recommendations for nutritional supplements may be made as part of your personalized care plan. Patients are never required to purchase supplements through Olea Functional Health, and recommendations are based on individual clinical needs.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.

Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee.

In-Home Visits

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve all non-membership in-home visits. This deposit will be applied toward the cost of your appointment.

Travel fees may apply based on your location and will be discussed before your appointment is confirmed.

If an in-home appointment is missed, canceled without sufficient notice, or cannot be completed due to the patient or responsible party not being available at the scheduled location, an additional travel fee may be charged for appointments requiring travel more than 20 miles from the provider's primary travel location. This fee helps offset the travel time and expenses incurred. Any applicable fees will be communicated as transparently as possible.
